“Come on, tell me on the mountain” by James Baldwin was first published in 1953, it is a semi-autobiographical novel. The history of the novel revolves around the main character, John Grimes. He happens to be a clever teenager in 1930’S Harlem. It also describes John’s relationship with his family and his church.
The novel also includes some back stories of John’with his mother, his biological father, and his stepfather, Gabriel Grimes, who happens to be very strong, and religious fanatic.
